Extraordinary times requires extraordinary solidarity

Alongside the school infrastructure projects Groundbreaker supports, we give our implementing partners worldwide the possibility to apply for funding in case of emergencies. This fund is aimed at supporting the communities in which our previous project has been implemented. Our close partnership allow us to respond directly, quickly and flexibly to the constantly changing situation. Such emergency situations include severe weather conditions such as droughts, floodings, thunderstorms, and hail, as well as environmental hazard as fire and earthquakes, and lastly health emergencies such as pandemics. Funds can be allocated in the form of, for instance, food, construction, hygiene, WASH, or medicine.

From this emergency funding pool, the funds will be distributed among the different projects, depending on the greatest need. This allows us to respond directly, quickly and flexibly to the constantly changing situation.

All funding will be distributed completely transparently - and as always 100% of the donations will reach the families directly.
