Bildung schafft Perspektiven
Wer Armut bekämpfen will, muss Bildung fördern. Aus diesem Grund hat sich die RNT Rausch GmbH dem Bau einer Schule in Los Maranitos in der Dominikanischen Republik verschrieben. Vom ersten Grundstein bis zum letzten Stück Kreide begleitet das Unternehmen das Projekt, um den Kindern der Region eine Chance zu geben, sich dank Bildung ein besseres Leben leisten zu können. In Los Maranitos leben gerade einmal 200 Menschen, doch Armut ist an der Tagesordnung. Vor allem für Kinder und Jugendliche ist es schwer, sich dem Kreislauf zu entziehen. Denn sie müssen Geld verdienen, damit die Familie für Nahrung und ein Dach über dem Kopf sorgen kann. An schulische Bildung denkt hier kaum einer – und wenn, dann träumt er davon. Wer es sich leisten kann, muss sein Kind jeden Morgen auf einen anstrengenden Fußmarsch von zwei Meilen schicken; denn erst dort ist die nächste Schule. Fast fünf Monate im Jahr sind ihre Pforten außerdem geschlossen.
RNT Rausch baut eine Schule vor Ort!
Als Unternehmen, das auch im eigenen Land und der eigenen Region Bildungsinitiativen unterstützt, sehen wir es als unsere Pflicht, auch hier zu helfen. Deswegen werden wir gemeinsam mit unserem Implementierungspartner vor Ort in Los Maranitos ein neues und geeignetes Bildungszentrum bauen. Das neue Gebäude umfasst zwei Klassenzimmer, Sanitäranlagen (m/w), eine Küche, ein Lehrerzimmer und einen Lerngarten. In diesem sicheren Lernumfeld sollen Kinder das lernen, was sie brauchen, um den Teufelskreis der Generationenarmut zu durchbrechen.
Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt des Programms liegt zudem in der Stärkung von Mädchen. Die Dominikanische Republik hat eine hohe Prävalenz von geschlechtsspezifischer und sexueller Gewalt, was das Leben für Mädchen in Kombination mit dem schlechtesten Bildungssystem besonders schwer macht.
Jede Spende macht einen Unterschied:
• 20€ = ein Satz Gartengeräte für den "Educational Garden"
• 50€ = ein Bambusstuhl für die Klassenzimmer
• 100€ = 175 Ziegelsteinblöcke
• 200€ = ein großer Tisch für die Bibliothek
• 500€ = 10 Quadratmeter Zementfundament

School Construction in the Dominican Republic: Education Creates Perspectives
Those who want to fight poverty must support education. For this reason, RNT Rausch GmbH has committed itself to building a school in Los Maranitos in the Dominican Republic. From the first cornerstone to the last piece of chalk, the company will support the project in order to give the children in the region a chance to afford a better life due to education. Please contribute!
Only 200 people are living in Los Maranitos, but poverty is a daily occurrence. It is particularly difficult for children and young people to escape the cycle, because they have to earn money so that the family have food and a roof over their heads. Hardly anyone thinks of school education here – and when they do, they dream of it. Those who can afford it have to send their child on a two mile walk every morning, because the next school is located there. But the gates are closed almost five months a year.
RNT Rausch is building a school on site!
As a company that also supports educational initiatives in its own country and region, we see it as our duty to help here as well. That is why we will build a new and suitable education centre in Los Maranitos together with our local implementation partner. The new building comprises two classrooms, sanitary facilities (m/f), a kitchen, a teachers‘ room and a learning garden. In this safe learning environment, children will be taught what they need to break the vicious circle of generational poverty.
A special focus of the project is the strengthening the position of girls. The Dominican Republic has a high prevalence of gender-specific and sexual violence. In combination with the worst education system, this makes life particularly difficult for girls.

• 500€ = 10 sq. meters of cement foundation
